Prof Domagoj Vrsaljko received his Ph.D. from the University of Zagreb, Faculty of Chemical Engineering and Technology. He has been employed at the University of Zagreb, Faculty of Chemical Engineering and Technology since 2001.
He currently holds the title of full professor at the Department for thermodynamics, mechanical engineering, and energy. His main area of expertise is related to the fields of additive manufacturing, chemical engineering, materials engineering, especially polymeric materials with specific properties, such as composites and polymer blends and surface engineering (phenomena of surface adhesion at the interface, surface treatment).
He was the leader of two scientific projects involving 3D-printing and was awarded with 6 research grants by the University of Zagreb. He has published over 50 articles related to his field of expertise.
